Multiple comparisons of diversity indices invaded by Lantana camara

Abstract Current study assessed the impact of Lantana camara invasion on native plant diversity in Pothohar region Pakistan. The approach used for was random samplings and comparisons indices [number species (S), abundance (N), richness (R), evenness (J?), Shannon index (H?) Simpson dominance (?)] with two categorical factors i.e., invaded non-invaded (control). Control plots harboured by an average 1.74 more species/10m2. control category diverse (H?=2.56) than (H?=1.56). higher value shows heterogeneous nature communities vice versa plots. At multivariate scale, ordination (nMDS) ANOSIM showed significant magnitude differences between at all sites. decrease studied over sites indicated that become less productive due to invasion.
